1. Introduction

Thank you for using the VNC Discord Bot ("the Bot"). This Privacy Policy outlines what data we collect, how it is used, and how it is stored securely. By using the Bot in your server, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

The Bot securely collects and stores the following information in our self-hosted MongoDB database in order to provide its core functionality:

• User IDs: To track economy balances, XP/Leveling progress, AFK statuses, and moderation histories.
• Guild (Server) IDs: To store server-specific configurations (such as custom prefixes, welcome channels, and moderation settings).
• Message Content (Limited): The bot does not log regular conversations. However, if a message violates an auto-moderation rule (e.g., spam, bad words, unauthorized invites), the original violating message content is temporarily saved in our Moderation Logs so that server administrators can review the context of automated punishments.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data exclusively to power the bot's features:

• To provide and maintain the economy and leveling systems.
• To enforce auto-moderation and log disciplinary actions for server administrators.
• To track and announce AFK statuses when users are mentioned.
• To customize bot behavior based on individual server configurations.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in our self-hosted, secure database environment. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. We do not share, sell, or distribute your data to any third parties.

5. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

The bot features an AI command (/ask) that securely sends explicit user prompts to the Google Gemini API to generate responses. We do not use any Discord message data or your prompts to train, fine-tune, or develop our own machine learning or AI models, nor does Google use these API inputs for their own training purposes.

6. Your Rights and Data Removal

Server administrators can remove the bot from their server at any time, which stops any further data collection. If you wish to have your individual user data completely wiped from our database, please contact the bot developer or server owner.
